Seven Sisters of Purgatory

Also known as the Sisters of Purgatory. The Stakes are weapons used by Beatrice, they can bounce off walls and objects to attack from any direction, it is impossible to escape them, unless the victim has strong magical resistance or has not committed any of the seven sins they represent. There are seven stakes of purgatory, each named after a demon representing one of the seven deadly sins.

Lucifer

The eldest sister of the Stakes. She represents the Fallen angel Lucifer and the corresponding sin of Pride. Her hair is straight and black. "She is haughty and disdainful, but in fact takes pleasure in surrendering."

Leviathan

The second eldest of the Stakes. She represents the demon Leviathan and the corresponding sin of Envy. Her appearance is a girl with middle-length green hair. Leviathan is childish, but also an envious crybaby that is willing to do anything to win.

Satan

The third sister of the Stakes. She represents the demon Satan and the corresponding sin of Wrath. She has curly, dull hair. She is easily angered, but most the time wants someone to be angry with her.

Belphegor

The hard-working and sensible fourth sister of the Stakes. Represents the demon Belphegor and the corresponding sin of Sloth. Her hair is dark and long, and in a ponytail.

Mammon

The fifth sister of the Stakes. In Alliance of the Golden Witch, she accompanies Ange the most out of all the stakes. Represents the demon Mammon and corresponding sin of Greed, she is extremely greedy and willing to do anything to get what she wants. Her hair is long and brown.

Beelzebub

The sixth sister of the Stakes. She s a gourmet "and is willing to use even her own flesh if it is used to make a delicious meal." She represents the demon Beelzebub and the corresponding sin of Gluttony. Her hair is blonde and in two short drill pigtails.

Asmodeus

The youngest of the stakes. "She wants to fall in love, and is willing to sacrifice her life for the sake of it." Represents the demon Asmodeus and the corresponding sin of Lust. Her hair is also blond and in two straight ponytails.

Trivia

• The lower half of the Stakes of Purgatory's attire is extremely similar to the Angel Mort restaurant uniform from Higurashi no Naku Koro ni.
